5 WAYS TO IMPROVE YOUR COMPANY'S REPUTATION
1) 'Go Green' - Explain to the local community and your customers how you have transformed your organisation into an environmentally friendly company.
2) Offer Mentoring Services - Providing mentors for new employees and external graduates in your sector is a good way to raise your company's profile and make it a sought-after employer. 3) Donate - Offer your product or services for free to a good cause. This could present a valuable press opportunity.
4) Sponsor a Team - Sponsoring a team can be a satisfying endeavour. Sponsor a cricket team, a football team, a netball team - the choice is endless.
5) Offer Work Experience - Giving teenagers an opportunity to sample life in the office or on the shop floor is an excellent way to give back to the community.
RAISE YOUR GAME WITH A PA MENTOR
If you have recently started a new job as a corporate PA or Admin and would like to improve your PA skills, why not consider PA mentoring. A Consultant PA Mentor can walk you through best practices and give you the benefit of their experience. As a former PA with 25+ years experience and owner of Personal-Assistant-Tips.com, I can share my varied knowledge and provide some of the ideas you need to improve your know-how. As a Fellow of the Association of Personal Assistants (APA), I am an APA recommended Consultant PA Mentor. For more information visit www.personal-assistant-tips.com/Personal-Assistant-Mentoring.html

HOW TO STAND OUT IN THE PA PROFESSION
Understand Your Company's Weaknesses
Familiarise yourself with your company's customer complaints procedure and link in to get a feel for the type of problems that keep coming up again and again and are not being dealt with effectively. This is valuable feedback that should help your principal to head off creeping problems.
Outsource to Virtual PAs
Be prepared to outsource repetitive, non-urgent PA work to Virtual Personal Assistants when you need to free up your time for an important project. It's also a good idea to engage a Virtual PA to help with big projects like organising an event. For more on Virtual Assistants paste the following link into your browser:: <>www.personal-assistant-tips.com/Virtual-Assistants.html
Network With The Best
Build a strong network of individuals that provide the best services in their field or can advise you on things like catering, party planning, luxury travel, private dining, design, etc. Get to know the Concierge at a couple of top hotels - some get wined and dined at top restaurants. Sometimes top restaurants hold back tables for their favourite Concierge so a renowned Concierge could be an avenue for securing last minute reservations at a top restaurant. For more on table reservations visit: <>https://www.personal-assistant-tips.com/Restaurant-Bookings.html
Understand Social Media
Social media such as Twitter is important for branding but it also allows you to get a sense of the public's perception of your company's products or services. What is said on Twitter could quickly become viral so it's wise to keep an eye on Tweets.
Keep Up With Technology
Spend time with your favourite IT person picking their brains to get the low down on new software and gadgets. Check out reviews on the internet to find out what new gadgets can do. Visit <>http://reviews.cnet.com/ for indepth editor reviews on new technology. Understand Financial Terminology
Familiarise yourself with financial terminology and learn how to read a balance sheet and a cash flow statement. It will help you to see your organisation from an important perspective. There are numerous articles and guides on the internet that will walk you through the process so no need to shell out on a course.
